Mayo Clinic Day One

Today we had our first appointment at the Mayo Clinic. Allison was seen by Peds Neurology. The doctor spent a lot of time with us, asking many questions about pregnancy history, the early months, and her symptoms. Although Allison just had an MRI about five weeks ago, she is scheduled to have another one tomorrow. After the MRI, Allison will have time to recover from the sedation just to have an appointment with Peds Ophthalmology. Wednesday morning she has three appointments lined up, ones I look forward to: A rehab doctor, a physical therapist, and dermatology for a skin biopsy. Thursday we will end where we began, with the neurologist, and discuss the MRI and other test results. I am a little upset that we will not be seeing GI, as her vomiting is her biggest setback right now, but this doctor assured me that whatever brain impairments she may have could directly cause her vomiting. Still hopeful.
